Like a Dragon: Yakuza has been announced as a new Amazon TV version of the popular SEGA action RPG. It will be released simultaneously worldwide through Amazon Prime video service from October 24th to 25th.
The announcement was made via X on the official RGG Studio and Amazon accounts. Key art includes a photo of Kiyru with a distinctive Yakuza-style logo and his trademark dragon tattoo. The role of Kiiru will be played by actor Ryoma Takeuchi, who has a long history on Japanese television but is best known for his role in Kamen Rider.
According to Amazon Prime Japan Tweet Announcement (Translated via X’s built-in translation tool) The series is an adaptation of the Like a Dragon game, but has an original story. There are currently very few details about the game outside of these social media teases.
