Microsoft is hosting its first showcase of the year, Xbox Developer Direct 2025. Here’s when the showcase starts, how to watch, and what to expect.

How to Watch Xbox Developer Direct 2025
The showcase will be streamed on multiple channels, including Xbox and Bethesda’s official YouTube pages.
What should you expect?
Xbox has already confirmed some of the games that will be released, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Viewers can expect gameplay and developer insights on those games. There will also be a mystery fourth game to be revealed, which is reportedly a new entry in the “legendary” Japanese franchise that many players should look forward to.
Aside from the four games, there are reportedly a few other surprises coming during the showcase or in the coming days. One of those could be the rumored Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake, but that’s speculation for now.
Doom: The Dark Ages’ May release date has also reportedly been leaked, so it’s possible we’ll see confirmation from Bethesda during the showcase.
As for Microsoft’s list of upcoming games, Avowed is scheduled to release on February 14th for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Obsidian Entertainment recently released a new series of animated YouTube videos to refresh players on Pillars of Eternity lore.
