This week, the party will rally around a newly minted ticket with renewed enthusiasm after Mr. Biden’s departure. Vice President Kamala Harris has emerged as the leader of the party.. And many Democratic leaders across the country will address delegates over the next four days ahead of speeches by the new presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim WalzShe is expected to formally accept the vice presidential nomination on Wednesday night, and Harris is scheduled to take the stage on Thursday to formally accept the presidential nomination.

As Democrats gear up for the November election, three presidents, congressional leaders and other prominent members of the party are expected to address the convention this week. The official speaker schedule has not yet been released, but convention officials and other sources familiar with the plans have confirmed that several speakers will be speaking this week.
