The Six Nations table 2025 contains the levels of Europe’s elite teams for all possible indicators in addition to current points, bonus points, point difference and alphabetical order. But that will soon change in fine style when the first Six Nations match of the season, France v Wales, kicks off on Friday 31 January.

We’ll be updating this guide with Six Nations tables throughout the beloved championship in 2025, so you can follow the changing fortunes of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales until Super Saturday the 15th. March.

Six Nations table 2024: final standings

Ireland topped the Six Nations table for the second successive year without completing a Grand Slam, suffering a narrow 22-23 loss to England at Twickenham. But the destination of the title was never in doubt after Andy Farrell’s side secured an opening win over eventual runners-up France in Marseille. Despite the negative points differential, Steve Borthwick’s England moved into the top half of the table with two wins from five, narrowly ahead of a disappointing Scotland.

But the biggest headlines will arguably be found at the bottom of the Six Nations table. The bonus point prevented Italy from leapfrogging Scotland into fourth place, but they recorded two wins and a draw, their best record in the history of the tournament. They also commissioned Warren Gatland’s Wales first wooden spoon since 2003.

Six Nations table 2023: final standings

A dominant Ireland won their third Grand Slam in 15 years, topping the Six Nations table from top to bottom. Scotland were the only team denied a try-scoring bonus point. The final rankings for 2023 also provide a handy example of how the bonus points system works, as Ireland have an extra three points for a Grand Slam. (This is in addition to the 20 points earned for winning the match and an additional 4 bonus points.)

Despite losing a thriller in Dublin, reigning champions France were the best of the rest, with Gregor Townsend’s Scotland rounding out the podium. England have only two wins in Borthwick’s first Six Nations campaign, while Wales’ win over Italy in Rome ensured the Azzurri topped the Six Nations table once again.

Six Nations table 2022: final standings

France achieved a Grand Slam in the 2022 Six Nations tournament with five wins out of five. Les Bleus took first place with 25 points, while Ireland took second place with 21 points.

England and Scotland are level on 10 points, but Eddie Jones’ side remain top of the Six Nations table with an excellent points differential. Italy’s shock last-day win over Wales in Cardiff wasn’t enough to lift them from bottom of the table.
