Vice President Kamala Harris concluded her acceptance speech for the Democratic National Convention this week by urging supporters to “get out there and fight.”
Now that both major political parties have concluded their conventions, the race for the 2024 White House is in its final sprint.
Harris and former President Trump, the Republican nominee, are both set to return to the campaign trail next week, with their running mates set to visit some of the seven key battleground states that will likely determine the outcome of the November election.
Harris slammed Trump, vowing to be “a president for all Americans.”
This process will be repeated weekly until Election Day.
Harris interview?
The former president, his running mate, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, their campaign and their Republican allies have repeatedly criticized Harris for not holding major press conferences or giving interviews since she replaced Biden as the party’s 2024 nominee a month ago.

So all eyes will be on Harris to see if she keeps her promise to do national news media interviews in the remaining weeks of August.
Fundraising struggle
With just one week left in August, we can expect to see updated fundraising numbers from both the Trump and Harris campaigns by the end of the month.
While Biden had a fundraising lead over Trump earlier this year, the former president saw a surge in fundraising in the late spring and early summer.
But since Biden ended his reelection bid and Harris took over as Democratic leader, campaign and party fundraising has soared, with Harris significantly outraising Trump in July fundraising.
The August figures, due out on September 1, will be closely watched and analyzed as fundraising and polling are important indicators.
Debate conflict
The first and possibly final presidential debate between Harris and Trump is scheduled for September 10 in Philadelphia.

This showdown could be the most important evening of the 2024 presidential election, and could have the power to change or alter the current margin of error contest between the vice president and former president.
We need proof. Think back to the Biden-Trump debate in late June. The president’s disastrous performance raised questions about whether the 81-year-old has the mental and physical stamina to last another four years in the White House. And it fueled calls within his own party for Biden to step down from the race.
Less than a month after the clashes in Atlanta, the president dropped out of the race.
Early Voting
With 73 days left until Election Day, some voters plan to start casting their ballots next month.
In key election state North Carolina, mail-in voting begins on September 6. And in two other key battleground states, early voting begins on September 16 in Pennsylvania and September 26 in Michigan.
