Ween (Red light management)
PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess) — The eclectic experimental rock band Ween has announced that they are “suspending” their touring schedule for the foreseeable future, canceling all upcoming shows.
In a statement announcing the decision shared on social media, a spokesperson said:
“It is with deep regret and heavy hearts that Ween has decided to step away from the stage for the foreseeable future, including next month’s sold-out Chocolate and Cheese 30th Anniversary show at Philadelphia’s Mann Music Center.”
“Despite three great shows this summer, it’s becoming clear that touring and performing is taking too much of a toll on Ween’s mental health and we can no longer continue. As always, thank you for your love, dedication, and continued support – Ween.”
The news of the tour’s cancellation follows several shows this summer that were canceled without explanation, and another tour canceled earlier this year.
As he cancels his spring tour, Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo cites the need to “preserve our mental health and spiritual well-being.”
