Samsung is the 800-pound gorilla of CES, a global electronics giant that produces mobile devices, TVs, home theater products, kitchen appliances, and more. Traditionally, you use CES to remind the world that you are a major competitor in every field, while also providing a glimpse behind the curtain at cutting-edge technology.
For example, Samsung’s 2024 CES press conference not only covered all the usual iterative updates – new TVs, new projectors, new soundbars – but also showed off the first look at some truly forward-thinking products. You won’t be seeing the transparent MicroLED screen at your local Best Buy anytime soon, but you can already buy the Music Frame speaker, which debuted at CES 2024. We are most hoping to see a comeback. Ideally, there would be an actual release date this time.
What to expect from Samsung CES 2025 press conference
Or maybe Ballie will be a little more autonomous this time around. This would better fit with the “AI for Everyone: Everyday, Everywhere” theme the company laid out for its presentation in Las Vegas. The South Korea-based giant has already posted several weeks’ worth of early CES announcements to its online newsroom, touting AI-enhanced refrigerators and home appliances with built-in screens. But there are also things that are not AI. Samsung has pre-announced a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor, and the company is working with Google(!) to offer Eclipsa, a new 3D audio technology aimed at an alternative. With Dolby Atmos and DTS.
One thing we don’t expect to see in Vegas is the supposed Galaxy S25 smartphone line. If recent schedules go by, Samsung is likely planning an unveil in the second half of January, when tech news will have its own spotlight. (Last year, it was a January 17th event announced on January 11th.)
