DHL Stormers star Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu believes joining the world champion Springbok team has enabled him to make significant strides in green and gold.
The 22-year-old put in a strong performance for the Boks in 2024 before a knee injury halted his rookie testing season, but did enough to earn him a nomination for the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year award.
A generational talent with supreme skills in attack, defence, and kick tee, 8-Test Feinberg-Mngomezulu produced eye-catching performances in a breakthrough season for the Boks.
And the mercurial playmaker is giving it his all, citing his growth as he emerges as a . super sports He was a guest at the New Year’s Test between South Africa and Pakistan at Newlands.
“I’m really fortunate to be joining a (national) organization where everything runs smoothly,” he said. “Your team is winning and you have great players around you.
“It just makes things like mine a lot easier. Especially as a young 22-year-old. It is a job that requires age and experience.
“Ultimately, this is a platform that all my teammates and coaches have given me.”

It was a frustrating time for Feinberg-Mngomezulu, who injured his shoulder shortly after kick-off during Vodacom URC’s round 9 match against the Sharks at the Cape Town Stadium on December 28.
He also left the field with a concussion in the Durban meeting of his coastal rivals before limping off the field in the 28th minute of the home game against the Lions.
But Feinberg-Mngomezulu remains optimistic, adding: “My main goal is to show people that it is possible. If you want something, you can get it.
“From a rugby perspective I want to make this country proud. “I want to bring as much silverware to this country as possible, whether I participate or not.”
The Stormers return to action against Sale Sharks in the Investec Champions Cup on Saturday after back-to-back wins at URC before the week break. A win at the Cape Town Stadium would keep the momentum going and give the Capetonians’ EPCR play-off hopes a boost.
Commenting on the Stormers’ challenge this week, Feinberg-Mngomezulu said: “There are a lot of international players on the field. It’s going to be a cracker.
“The Champions Cup is a great way to watch rugby. These are the best players on each team fighting for the W. “You can’t lose a game in the Champions Cup because the stakes are high.”
