The Springboks have provided some good news on the injury front following concerns that several players suffered minor injuries ahead of their series against Ireland.

Cheslin Kolbe (knee) and Lucaño Am (ribs), who joined the Springbok squad at various stages of the Pretoria training camp for rehabilitation under the supervision of the Bok medical team, are back from injury and ready to face Ireland. .
But Erasmus was satisfied with that despite confirming that three players – Faf de Klerk (quadriceps), Edwill van der Merwe (shoulder) and Makazole Mapimpi (hamstring) – suffered problems in this year’s opening Test against Wales at Twickenham. There was ample cover in the squad with Arendse, Kolbe and Am to choose from.
“The injury situation we have at the moment means Cheslin (Kolbe) has been cleared to play and we will manage Edwill (van der Merwe), Faf (de Klerk) and (Makazole) Mapimpi this week. He could be selected for the first Ireland Test,” Erasmus said.
