Victoria Monét and her 3-year-old daughter Hazel Monét Gaines stole the show at the Los Angeles premiere of Wicked on November 9, 2024.
The mother-daughter duo rocked the red carpet while posing for photos wearing pink outfits.
Victoria brought her fashion A-game in a Kim Shui embroidered bralette paired with a skirt. Not to be outdone, Hazel looked lovely in a ruffled blush colored Elisabetta Franchi La Mia Bambina dress.
On Instagram, Monét shared a photo from the event and wrote, “@wickedmovie Premiere with my bestie!!!” @itshazelmonet.”
She said: “This is so classic!!! What a great cast!!! “It’s incredible how obsessed we are!”
Monet said Hazel was fascinated by the entire three-hour production and even asked her to watch it again. “Hazel and I want to see and hear it as soon as possible! This is a must see! My 3-year-old daughter was so absorbed in the entire 3-hour movie that when the credits rolled, she immediately said, ‘I want to watch it again at home.’ “It’s truly amazing!”
The singer also congratulated Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, writing, “@arianagrande @cynthiaerivo All my sincere congratulations WOw..wow.”
Based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, it explores the untold backstories of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.
The story begins long before Dorothy falls into Oz and traces the two witches’ friendship, romance, and self-discovery while they are at Siege University.
Fans of the Broadway hit will have to wait for the full story. The Wicked movie will be released in two parts, Part 1 will be released on November 22 and Part 2 will be released on November 21, 2025. The film promises to reshape viewers’ understanding of the characters, challenging notions of who is truly “evil” in the world of The Wizard of Oz.
