The highly anticipated supernatural thriller Baida is scheduled for a theatrical release in early 2025. Set against the rich cultural backdrop of India’s Hindi heartland, the film promises a unique combination of suspense, science fiction and immersive storytelling.
Directed by Sudhanshu Rai and Puneet Sharma, Baida features an impressive cast including Sourabh Raaj Jain, Hiten Tejwani and Tarun Khanna.

For the first time, elements of science fiction and time travel are intertwined in a narrative deeply rooted in the Hindi heartland, a region more commonly associated with romantic comedies and political dramas. Shot extensively near Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, the film truly incorporates the Bhojpuri dialect, giving it a refreshing cultural flavor.

Local artisans and sculptors from Gorakhpur were involved in its creation, enhancing the authenticity of the art and design. Parts of the film were also shot in Delhi, adding a contrasting urban layer to the narrative. The plot centers around an assassin who plots an unexpected path in life, solving a series of events and encountering extraordinary characters that lead to a sci-fi supernatural thriller.
