October 24, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. On the first day of the BRICS summit in Kazan, Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, Trend reported.
The two leaders addressed important issues related to strengthening multilateral cooperation across various fields, including politics, trade, economy, investment, culture, and humanitarian efforts. They emphasized the importance of continued contact and productive exchanges between Uzbekistan and Turkiye.
Particular attention was given to the development of cooperative projects in fields such as geology, mineral resource extraction, electrical engineering, machine building, healthcare and education. The leaders also emphasized the need for regular joint cultural and humanitarian events to further strengthen relations.
Additionally, they exchanged views on important aspects of the international and regional agenda and strengthened their commitment to cooperation on pressing global issues. The meeting highlights the ongoing efforts of Uzbekistan and Turkiye to expand partnerships in various fields and strengthen regional stability and development.
