Baku, Azerbaijan, September 16. U.S. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said the U.S. was always looking forward to the opportunity to convene a meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to the Trendy report.
“The United States is always looking forward to the opportunity to convene a meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“We continue to support the efforts of both countries to reach a sustainable and dignified peace agreement. They have made significant progress in finalizing the peace agreement, and we are committed to supporting them in every way possible, including by convening a meeting if that is helpful,” he said.
On July 10, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia met as part of a summit marking the 75th anniversary of NATO.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Armenian counterpart agreed to continue working towards a peace agreement.
The two sides recognized the progress made by Azerbaijan and Armenia in concluding a historic peace agreement and establishing relations between the countries, and agreed to continue efforts in this direction.
