Baku, Azerbaijan, May 21. Azerbaijan has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to long-term peace with Armenia and we expect a similar stance in Yerevan, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
The Turkish leader assured that Ankara will continue to contribute as much as possible to achieving long-term peace between Baku and Yerevan.
“Turkye supports and supports Azerbaijan’s position,” Erdogan said.
At the same time, the politician expressed satisfaction with the agreement to return four villages occupied by Armenia to Azerbaijan.
The Turkish head of state praised the level of relations with Azerbaijan, citing as an example the project to build an Azerbaijani section in the earthquake-hit Turkish city of Karamanmaras.
President Erdogan said, “The houses under construction in Karamanmaraş are another symbol of the unbreakable ties between our two countries.”
