The Supreme Court is expected to issue its final opinion of the term Monday morning. This includes a ruling on whether former President Donald Trump is immune from criminal prosecution for federal election interference charges.
The decision by the six-seat, conservative-majority Supreme Court, including three members appointed by President Trump, will determine the fate of the high-profile criminal case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith.
Trump is charged with four counts of conspiring to illegally overturn his defeat by President Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
The lawsuit has been halted in federal court in Washington, D.C., arguing that President Trump has immunity from prosecution for all official acts committed while he was president.
