President-elect Trump is scheduled to hold a rally in Washington the day before he is inaugurated for his second term.
According to an announcement from the inaugural committee sent on Wednesday, the president-elect plans to hold a so-called “victory rally” at Capital One Arena on January 19.
Trump is expected to speak, as will other speakers, but a list of additional speakers was not immediately available.

Trump’s inauguration ceremony will be held on January 20th. He is scheduled to be inaugurated at the Capitol, and a variety of events will be held throughout the day to mark the start of his second term.
The president-elect has not held a rally in the District of Columbia since speaking on the Ellipse on Jan. 6, 2021, ahead of the violent attack on the Capitol by supporters seeking to stop the certification of the 2020 election results. .
Trump met with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser earlier this week, calling it “a great meeting to discuss our shared priorities” for Trump’s second term.
