Donald Trump is using his time off from the campaign trail to promote a new digital trading card.
The former president announced the fourth round of non-fungible token (NFT) launches in the series, dubbed the “America First” edition, on Tuesday.
The book features 50 drawings of Trump in various poses, including a striking image of the Republican presidential candidate in an Iron Man-style suit.
Trump said on his Truth Social platform that the cards were “reissued by popular demand.” They cost $99 each.
“This card has a picture of me dancing and a picture of me holding a bitcoin,” he said.
Trump, who did not campaign on Tuesday, has been widely ridiculed for his previous so-called “collections” campaigns, but he claims to have raised more than $4 million in one previous campaign.
Trump explained that if a buyer buys 15 or more digital cards, they will receive a physical card, each containing the suit he wore during his June 27 debate with President Joe Biden. Biden’s TV disaster ultimately led to his withdrawal from the Democratic nomination and his replacement by Vice President Kamala Harris.
“People are calling it a ‘knockout’ suit — I don’t know what that is — but that’s what they’re calling it,” Trump said.
Those who spend big on the card are promised tickets to Trump’s gala in Florida next month and drinks with the former president.
Trump’s efforts were once again met with ridicule.
“The Harris campaign should pay to have this aired in battleground states,” wrote Jon Favreau, co-host of “Pod Save America” and former Barack Obama speechwriter.
