A video of President-elect Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk doing the signature “Trump dance” together to welcome 2025 went viral Tuesday night.
Trump and Musk were spotted at Mar-a-Lago doing the president-elect’s jerky, arm-flapping dance routine to the Village People’s classic “YMCA,” while incoming first lady Melania Trump also danced to the music.
Trump’s humorous and simple rally dance has been a hit with supporters and has been imitated as a way to celebrate college football, NFL, boxing and UFC athletes.

A video of men in tuxedos dancing went viral among supporters online, capping a triumphant year for Trump. It was also a reminder that Musk, whose influence in Trump’s orbit has kept him in the headlines for his status as the world’s richest man, remains close to the man who will become president in three weeks.
Trump recently sided with Musk amid the MAGA debate over immigration and the status of foreign workers in the U.S. labor market.

Many technology companies have adopted the H-1B visa program, which allows U.S. companies to hire foreign workers for specialized jobs, but critics of the program say H-1B holders are often chosen over U.S. citizens for jobs.

Trump said he trusts the program and has always favored visas.
After reports that President Trump is growing increasingly irritated by Musk’s constant presence and headline-grabbing, former White House aide Hogan Gidley told Fox News on Monday that that’s not the story.
“It’s clear that Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy and others have a good relationship with Donald Trump,” Gidley said. “The media loves to stir things up and create divisions where there are none.”
Speaking to reporters at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday night, President Trump predicted 2025 would be a “great year.”

When asked if he had any New Year’s resolutions for 2025, he said, “I want people to be happy, healthy and well-being.”
