Slitterhead director Keiichiro Toyama said that, like his previous games, the horror title Slitterhead will offer players a unique experience, even if it’s ‘rough around the edges’ as a result.
In an interview with GameRant, director Toyama said: “Since the first Silent Hill, we’ve maintained a commitment to freshness and originality, even if it’s a little rough around the edges. That attitude has remained consistent in my work and in Slitterhead.”
Slitterhead will be released on November 8th for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Earlier this year, VGC spoke to Toyama about his time at PlayStation Studios and his hopes for his first release at Bokeh.
“There was an increased motivation at Sony to make bigger budget games, and we wanted to go that way with the Japan Studio brand,” Toyama told VGC.
“My motivation has always been to create original games. I think you can do this without a big budget. This also allows me to express myself. Independence allows us to do that. “Ever since I was at Sony, I felt like I was accomplishing what I wanted to do.”
In December 2020, Toyama left PlayStation and founded Bokeh Game Studio with Junya Okura, lead designer of the Gravity Rush series, and Kazunobu Sato, lead designer of PS3 exclusive Puppeteer.
