The Gaming World Tour concluded in 2024, and after a year of spectacular events, the team is looking forward to seeing what 2025 will bring. This year, the team, including Jake Lucky and Hunter Grooms, traveled to Korea, Brazil and Saudi Arabia. Arabia and Germany, but by 2025 it will be bigger and more extensive across all events.
Here are the events the Gaming World Media team is most excited for in 2025:
Around the world with GWM
I recently caught up with Jake and Hunter to find out about their most anticipated events for 2025.
1. Tokyo Game Show (Japan)
The Tokyo Games Show is one of the biggest gaming events and has been on our radar for a long time. After visiting Korea for G-Star, I can’t even imagine how much bigger and better TGS will become.
2. BLAST Austin Major (USA)
The North American Major is very exciting for us because we get to see all the NA Counter-Strike fans come out to enjoy esports. Esports events don’t happen often in North America, so the excitement surrounding an event like this is definitely something to look forward to.
3. Runefest (UK)
As a lifelong RuneScape fan, Runefast has been an event I’ve wanted to attend since I was a kid. When I heard that Jagex is developing a new open world survival game, I couldn’t be more excited to see what they have in store.
4. Esports World Cup (Saudi Arabia)
EWC actually offers the best access to a variety of esports and players. Being able to move from stage to stage and do tons of reporting and interviews is the perfect scenario for us.
5. Six Invitational Boston (USA)
While we can’t expect the Six Invitational to live up to the hype it had last year, we’re still glad that the event is coming to North America. We had a great time with the Rainbow Six crowd and Ubisoft last year, so we can’t wait to host it in Boston again.
