NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — Grammy Award-winning songwriter Tia Silas has signed a publishing deal with Toby & Molly Music.
With over 40 singles and 30 million records sold worldwide, Sillers has contributed to the hits “There’s Your Trouble” by The Chicks and “Blue On Black” by Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Her song “I Hope You Dance” was recorded by Lee Ann Womack and adapted into a New York Times bestselling book by Sillers and co-writer Mark D. Sanders.
“I met Tia when I moved here in 2005 and we became instant friends. She’s been a constant mentor since the day we met, and I was so surprised when she called last fall and said she wanted to work with me officially,” recalls Rob Filhart, co-founder of Toby & Molly Music. “Clint and I absolutely adore her songwriting. Her talent is unparalleled, she’ll never get old, and her songs are timeless. We’re honored to be working with her on the next chapter of her career.”
“Not only is Robert one of my best friends, he has the best ear in town,” Silas shares. “He’s been a huge part of helping me stay true to my craft, and he’s been a huge supporter of my music. The thought of working with him and Clint makes me feel hopeful about my future and the songs I write.”
Silas is scheduled to make his Grand Ole Opry debut on Wednesday, August 28.
