It appears the Los Angeles Rams may be trading superstar wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
The Rams, famously nicknamed “F Them Picks,” appear to be open for business and one of the NFL’s best wide receivers could be moved ahead of the November 5 trade deadline.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports that the Rams have received multiple calls and would be willing to accept Kupp’s remaining salary in return for a second-round draft pick.
Kupp has started only two games for the Rams this season due to a sprained ankle. However, multiple reports say he is ready to return on Thursday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings, a team reportedly interested in trading for his services.
Here are some other landing spots that might make sense:
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs remain the NFL’s only undefeated team, but despite that record, quarterback Patrick Mahomes hasn’t played to his standards so far this season and the offense hasn’t looked right.
We all know the Chiefs are on a perennial conquest to win their third straight Super Bowl. Does adding one of the best receivers in football show how serious they are?
Kansas City lost wide receiver Laci Rice to a season-ending knee injury, and adding Kupp could signal to the entire offense that it’s time to wake up.
Pittsburgh Steelers
There is another team that will definitely demand Kupp’s services. Remember, they were involved in trade talks for Brandon Aiyuk months before he ultimately decided to stay with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Steelers are 5-2 this season and are one of the NFL’s biggest surprises. Mike Tomlin knows how to create and leverage a culture, regardless of who starts at quarterback. Is there a receiver in the game who fits that culture like Kupp?
If the Steelers want to get serious in the AFC playoff mix, adding Kupp would certainly be a way to put some traction around the league.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On Monday Night Football, the Buccaneers lost both Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (ankle). Godwin’s injury ends the season and he will become an unrestricted free agent in 2025.
The Buccaneers are the Steelers of the NFC. The 4-2 start surprised some. At times, Baker Mayfield has looked the part of an MVP candidate. The Buccaneers have plenty of options to replace Godwin, but adding Kupp could keep them in the playoff mix in a very weak NFC South.
Before you search on Google, no. Kupp did not play in the magical December 2022 victory in which Mayfield led the Rams to victory without knowing the playbook.
