Definitely, absolutely 100% sure, a new trailer for Borderlands 4 is coming. Technically I don’t know about this.
Look, we all make mistakes. But if you’re the CEO of a company, you’d think you’d be more careful about making mistakes. And Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has never been known as anyone other than himself, and yesterday he broke the news that a new trailer for Borderlands 4 is coming soon! “I’m working on a new Borderlands 4 trailer and it looks amazing,” Pitchford wrote on his personal Twitter account. “We shouldn’t talk about it yet, idfaf. It’s driving me crazy, yo.” Someone later asked him to post a thumbnail, and the CEO responded with a GIF of the end of the first teaser trailer: “The first frame of the trailer is the last frame of the teaser. Yes, I am a troll and a tease. Deal with it.” I did it. .”

Now, as Pitchford himself notes, he shouldn’t have shared that there’s no trailer coming out at all! Why did you do that? Literally only he knows! But he also pointed out in another response that he “didn’t want to slander the publishing and communications teams.” Because they’re “pros and they know what they’re doing and my nonsense can ruin plans and deals.” Perhaps he realized posting this considering he shared that a trailer will be coming out soon, but what are you going to do? Well, if you work at Gearbox, maybe you should talk to Pitchford.

“So… my phone is exploding,” the CEO later wrote in a tweet. “I guess I shouldn’t have told you there was a trailer coming out. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m not sorry.” In a follow-up tweet, he also noted, “Don’t delete it because it’s all done. If you don’t hear from me in a week, call 911.” Of course, Randy, anything!
Considering that the year is so far away, we can safely assume that this trailer will appear at The Game Awards next week. That won’t be too far away, as the awards show begins on December 12th at 7:30 PM ET.
