Trump added that the Colombian president’s “denial of this flight has put the national security and public safety of the United States at risk” and proposed a -25% tariff and a “travel ban for Colombian officials and all allies and supporters.”
Petro ordered the raising of import tariffs on American goods in response to Trump’s tariffs and sanctions. “I have instructed the Secretary of Foreign Trade to increase U.S. import tariffs by 25 percent,” he said Sunday at X’s post.
