Nintendo has kindly provided an exclusive virtual tour of the new product. nintendo museum In Kyoto, Japan. This “Nintendo Museum Direct” was hosted by Shigeru Miyamoto, and it was mentioned that the Nintendo Museum will begin accepting visitors on October 2, 2024.
What’s interesting is that the museum is located on the very same site where the company produced hanafuda and other card games before venturing into the video game business and transforming an old industrial parking lot into a cool plaza decorated with a vintage Mario theme.
What to Expect at the Nintendo Museum
The museum features a number of exhibits, including a massive circular wall filled with a well-maintained and extensive collection of classic retro Nintendo games and merchandise. Other sections of the museum offer a glimpse into the company’s journey in creating products that encourage player activity, and visitors can engage with an interactive floor where they can use their phones and feet to create a larger-than-life card game experience.
The museum operates on a unique coin system. Upon entry, visitors receive a card with 10 pre-loaded coins, which can be used for specific activities within the museum. The virtual tour featured three activities: an indoor pitching machine reproducing a traditional Japanese house, and a classic “laser clay” shooting gallery. NES Zapper and SNES Super ScopeAnd a room where visitors can play NES (Naver), N64and Wii games that use large controllers.
