After The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time reinvented the series in 3D and became the new gold standard, Nintendo has released its surreal sequel Majora’s Mask. Set two months after the events of Ocarina, Link is transported to an alternate version of Hyrule called Termina, where he must stop a very angry moon from crashing into Earth over a period of three days that keeps repeating itself. Majora’s Mask’s unique structure and eerie atmosphere have earned it many ardent supporters and detractors, and longtime Zelda fans will be able to experience the game for the first time and see where they stand on the spectrum.
