The first gameplay trailer for Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded has been released, and you can watch it above.
The new VR version of Hitman 3, which will be released exclusively on Meta Quest 3, will feature dual-wielding weapons and a new cel-shaded art style.
The game doesn’t have a release date yet, with the trailer only mentioning it as “coming soon.”
When it launches, it will cost $29.99 / €27.99 / £22.99, and there’s currently a 10% pre-order discount going on.
The game is being developed and published by Leeds, UK-based VR studio XR Games, which has previously developed VR titles including Zombieland: Headshot Fever, Jurassic World Aftermath, and ForeVR Pool.
According to XR Games’ description, the game includes:
- “Dual Wielding: Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded introduces dual wielding for the first time in the series, allowing players to use two weapons or items simultaneously, adding a new dimension to strategic gameplay.”
- “All-New Cell-Shaded Art Style: See Agent 47 in a whole new light with a stunning new cell-shaded visual style.”
- “Enhanced interactivity: Experience a new level of realism with interactive environments that react to your every gesture.”
- “Revised User Interface: Hitman 3’s UI has been completely redesigned for VR, ensuring intuitive controls and navigation.”
- “Improved Movement Options: Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded now features fluid, natural movement options, making it easier than ever to navigate complex environments with speed and stealth.”
- “There are a ton of improvements across the board. From improved visuals to refined gameplay mechanics, this is the most immersive, uncapped Hitman VR experience yet.”
Hitman developer IO Interactive announced in 2020 that an officially licensed James Bond game is in development. Working title: Project 007, it will feature an original James Bond origin story.
