Fall has just begun, but I can already feel the signs of winter. Ground temperatures dipped below freezing on Monday and meteorologists say we should brace for frost over the next few days. Rain is also expected.
Cold and rain – this could be the watchword for next week. On Monday, September 30th, morning temperatures were mostly between 3 degrees and -3 degrees. According to experts, this is unusually early compared to just a few weeks ago last year.
“In many places frosts that could damage vegetables are possible,” the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute said.
Frost is expected to remain on the ground the following day. On Tuesday, it will mainly affect the eastern and northeastern regions, with temperatures expected to drop to 5-1°C at night. The rest of the region will record 9 to 5 degrees. Temperatures rise to 13-17°C during the day. Showers are expected in the Czech Republic during the evening and night.
