Conor Daly has announced a deal with Juncos Hollinger Racing for the 2025 IndyCar season. The 33-year-old had been struggling to secure a full-time sponsorship deal with a partner during the off-season. After Daley announced the deal, he came out and reflected on a tumultuous offseason.
Daly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on the upcoming IndyCar season with JHR. He wrote:
“This offseason has been really fun. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to finally come back and compete full-time in the @IndyCar Series! I love this @juncoshollinger team and believe we can achieve so much together! We look forward to working with you again in 2025! @TeamChevy #indycar”
Conor Daly’s final full-time IndyCar season was in 2022 with Ed Carpenter Racing. He drove part-time during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. The 33-year-old has secured a Dreyer and Reinbold Racing Indy 500 drive in 2024. Daly has the opportunity to replace Agustin Canapino at JHR midway through the 2024 IndyCar season.
The American’s best result during the 2024 drive for JHR was a podium finish in the first race at the Milwaukee Mile. JHR previously announced that Sting Ray Robb has signed with the team for the 2025 IndyCar season as part of its partnership with Daly. JHR owner Ricardo Juncos spoke highly of the 33-year-old. “When Conor rejoined us last year, we felt like we were seamlessly picking up where we left off in 2010. We’re excited to have him back in the car full-time in 2025, with both seats now filled. The team is a laser – focused on building momentum and delivering outstanding performances throughout the year, aiming for an outstanding season for Juncos Hollinger Racing.”
Daly previously drove for Ricardo Juncos team in the Star Mazda championship for the 2010 season and was the championship winner that year.
“One of the most difficult offseasons” – Conor Daly details the challenges of securing sponsorship.
Conor Daly has reportedly requested $7.5 million in sponsorship from his sponsor, blockchain technology community Polkadot. But his appeal was rejected. The American has now asked his backers for $3 million. Sponsorship funds were lacking, so Daly took matters into his own hands. said the JHR driver. (via IndyStar)
“It was one of the hardest offseasons I’ve ever had, I went through a lot. Last year I pretty much knew that all I would have was a 500 (with Dreyer and Reinbold Racing). This literally makes me feel like I’m dead. “I won’t have any form of income, I have no idea what’s going on, and it’s just frustrating.”
Daly’s contract was the final piece of the puzzle for JHR’s 2025 season. That’s because they’ve already announced the signing of Sting Ray Robb as another driver and former F1 engineer David Brown as technical director.
