A dizzying encounter in the 2024 T20 World Cup India wins over arch-rival Pakistan By a narrow margin of 6 points.
India launched a fierce attack against Pakistan.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam chose to bowl first after winning the toss. Despite Rishabh Pant’s valiant effort of 42 runs, India could only muster a total of 119 runs in 19 overs. The rest of the Indian batting line-up struggled against Pakistan’s bowling attack.
Pakistan looked promising in the chase, scoring 57 runs in 10 overs for the loss of just one wicket. But the tables turned dramatically when the Indian bowlers tightened their grip. Mohammad Rizwan’s 31-run knock was not enough to save Pakistan. Because they fell short of the target, scoring 113/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah was a hero for India.Three important wickets were taken for just 14 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah recalls critics’ comments after the match win.
India front-runner Jasprit Bumrah couldn’t help but laugh at the drastic change in critics’ comments about his career after winning the match.
“A year ago the same people were telling me I might never play again and that my career was over. Now the question has changed.” Bumrah said at the post-match press conference.
He attributes his success to focusing on what he can control. “I’m not worried about whether I’m bowling at my best. I try to solve the problems in front of me. “I know it’s a cliché answer, but I was focusing on the option that best suited my conditions.”
The 30-year-old added: “When I pay attention to external noises and people and get caught up in pressure and emotions, things don’t work for me.”
