Jurgen Klopp is famously known for his dislike of 12.30pm kick-offs and it must have brought a wry smile to his face to see his first game since leaving the club start at exactly that time.
Speaking to Optus Sport after the match, Dominik Szoboszlai shared his thoughts: “I think we’re in great shape, but I think we have to take advantage of it.
“We just, we don’t think that’s an excuse. But you know, it’s 12:30. It’s still morning! But it’s the same for them. It’s not an excuse. It’s going to continue next week. We have to be ready from the first minute.”

It is no exaggeration to say that the entire club is annoyed at having to play games like this, and I hope they will not continue to suffer from early starts in the future.
Arne Slott will soon get used to moving the game schedule for TV viewers and it will be interesting to see how he deals with this unfair interference from the powers that be.
