Joby Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham, will reportedly reject any offers from Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.
United are understood to be keen to strengthen their midfield for Ruben Amorim either this month or during the summer transfer window once funds become available.
A report by The Peoples Person last month revealed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move for Joby, who has made a huge impact since joining Sunderland for £1.5m in 2023.
The midfielder has already played a key role in the Black Cats’ push for promotion to the Premier League this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 23 appearances.
United are keeping tabs on Jobe and he is said to have impressed club recruiters.
But it looks like the Red Devils are heading for disappointment, with Jobe set to ignore them just like his brother did in 2020.
According to The Sun, Jobe is prepared to remain at the Stadium of Light this month despite praise from Arsenal and United.
The Sun added: “Despite the interest in Jovi from English clubs, he looks set to follow the same path as his brother and join a top European club where he can play more games at a higher level.”
Other clubs thought to be keen on securing Jobe’s services include Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Jude’s former club Borussia Dortmund.
Sunderland are understood to want to retain “their biggest asset” to give themselves the best chance of reaching the top spot.
A price tag of £20m has been quoted for the 19-year-old.
Meanwhile, Manchester United face Arsenal at the Emirates in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
