Streets of Rogue 2 launches on Steam Early Access on August 14th. The news comes via the PC Gaming Show, which also revealed a new trailer for the open-world sandbox game.
Set in a procedurally generated living world, Streets of Rogue 2 gives players one mission: It’s about taking down the corrupt president. How to achieve it is up to them. Whether that means helping citizens with their problems or causing complete chaos, the game gives players the freedom to twist and bend a colorful, destructible world to their whims. A variety of playable characters with unique talents, including ninjas, chefs, and hackers, let you get around in cars, boats, and other vehicles.
It’s not known how long Streets of Rogue 2 will remain in Early Access, but creator Matt Dabrowski says to expect “a variety of exciting updates” as it prepares for the 1.0 release.
