Read on and we’ll tell you everything you need to know to start and complete the “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” quest in Wuthering Waves.
Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise Guide | storm waves
You can start “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” in Wuthering Waves after completing all of the previous quests in the questline, Twilight Rise and Resounding Rise. Then go to Insula and Itzel’s camp at Thessaleo Falls.
After talking with Insula and Itzel, go to Command Rise in the southwest. You can get there by plane or just by swimming. Or, if there’s an Echo Challenge nearby, you can quickly travel there.
Either way, Approach Command Rise and enter. To continue the quest.
Progression throughout Command Rise is fairly straightforward if you track your quests in-game. Following the quest marker will lead you to Liel’s vision, shown above. These will guide you up the tower. Note that there are many Tacet Discords throughout the tower. Always be ready to fight!
If you proceed past the first vision, you will notice that you are being attacked by lasers. This is what Abyssal Patricius did. When climbing the tower, you must avoid laser attacks. Because the laser attacks won’t stop until you finally defeat them.
tower climbing
What’s notable about this tower is that it has a lot of parkour sections. You have to cling to or run to the bookshelves the entire way up the tower. If it falls, an entire section of the tower may need to be reworked. Mostly because they can’t climb walls.
Abyssal Patricius will also attack you with lasers throughout this parkour section. Be careful to avoid attacks. Occasionally the game will slow down and prompt you to press buttons quickly to avoid lasers.
After the first bookshelf section, you’ll come across Abyssal Patricius. Fight them with all your might and inflict as much damage as possible. But you can’t defeat them here. Deal enough damage and they will run away. Nonetheless, the damage will continue until your next encounter!
Scare Abyssal Patricius and follow the quest marker to be introduced to the next mechanic in Command Rise. Sometimes there may be no visible path. But if you pay attention to Liel’s vision, you’ll see large orange letters at key points. Use the grappling hook to light the way forward.
Later you will also see a vision of an archer trying to attack you. You can’t hit them or remove them at all. All you can do is keep climbing up the tower and time your attacks carefully to avoid them.
Ultimately, the climb is very simple as there are no real puzzles or anything like that. Just follow the quest marker and Liel’s vision. Liel’s vision always tells you exactly where to go. However, you must be careful not to fall during the parkour and combat sections.
Defeat Abyssal Patrick
Eventually you will reach the top of Command Rise. At this point, Abyssal Patricius has nowhere else to run. Now it’s time to fight head on and finish!
Fortunately, Abyssal Patricius isn’t actually that difficult.. The main gimmick is that you can summon clones. Attacking these clones takes no damage, so it’s ideal to ignore them if you want to focus on the real Abyssal Patricius.
To make things easier, pay close attention to what Itzel and Insula are doing during the fight. Typically, it only attacks the actual copy and ignores the clone. Essentially, you have to follow their lead.
Once you defeat Abyssal Patricius, a cutscene will begin. After watching, grab the premium supply box and go through the portal created in the boss room.
The portal will take you to the top of Command Rise, where Itzel and Insula are waiting. Talk to both of them to complete the quest and receive your reward!
That’s all you need to know to clear the “Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise” quest in Wuthering Waves. This is mainly a test of your parkour and platforming skills, as climbing the tower without falling is a real challenge!
There are no more climbable towers in Rinascita, at least for the Shadow of the Towers quest. However, you can: Complete the quest “Sail to the Sky” Instead, to help the old captain on his final voyage!
