Stefan Bajcetic: Development and Backup of Ryan Gravenberch
Here at Empire of the Kop, we must make it clear that we fully support any decision that ensures the healthy development of young, promising talent.
Bajcetic should most definitely be considered among them!
A potential switch to Real Betis could very well support that goal, but one has to question how the club intends to protect Ryan Gravenberch’s legs in the meantime.
Reinforcement in January looks highly unlikely at the moment, with a potential debate over Martin Zuvimendi’s future set to take center stage in the summer transfer window.
Arne Slot has already given this dilemma airtime ahead of the postponed Merseyside derby, telling reporters: “It was almost impossible to take him out because he was so good in every game. I thought, ‘What would happen to the team if I let him go now?’”
This is understandable considering the incredible form the No. 38 is enjoying at the No. 6 position.
In any case, we continue to support the decision to help Stefan Bajcetic develop, but we hope Liverpool plan to be cautious about Gravenberch’s mileage for the remainder of 2024/25.
