Just install the game. If your internet keeps disconnecting every 5 minutes, you have a bigger problem to solve. It’s not “stupid” to need internet these days. 95% of all media entertainment requires internet, and we’re not stuck in the 90s with dial-up anymore. So sorry, but the excuse “people don’t always have internet” is probably the stupidest thing you can do at this point.
You’re telling me that they have a $500 device, a $70 game, but no internet, the worst internet in the world, and there’s no way to fix it? And if they’re in a third world country where the only internet they have is in a cafe, I really want to know how they’re going to buy a PS5 or an Xbox… That doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. And I want to know what % of game sales that group makes compared to countries with good internet.
How many of you play on PC? Here’s a news flash, my friend, Steam requires an internet connection to install… So, welcome to 2024, my friend.
Oh, and here’s another thought. Of all the games out there right now, what’s the highest grossing game? I think Fortnite requires an internet connection, and it seems to be doing really well… Oh, and what about all the mobile games that are making billions of dollars and outpacing hardcore console/PC titles in terms of revenue? I’m sure all of those require some form of network connection. Well, how do you do microtransactions otherwise?
