As his voice grew louder, Roddenberry continued: “As we all know, women are excited!”
Believe it or not, this alleged story gets even worse. Gene Roddenberry, in an apparent reference to his own bitter divorce, called women “untrustworthy” and said, “They are vile creatures that cut your throat when you’re not looking!” Considering his anger and the ever-increasing volume, the other two men in the room (Wright and “Angel One” screenwriter Patrick Barry) had every reason to believe that Roddenberry’s rant was just beginning.
