Compared to many other similar games, space marine 2 There is a fairly complex weapon system. There are standard ranged and melee weapon options, but the stats attached to these weapons can be a bit tricky to get the hang of. Additionally, some stats are very unique to the game, and understanding them is essential to getting the most damage from your weapons.
So to help you out, our complete weapons guide will go over everything you need to know about the weapons in Space Marine 2.
Complete Weapon Guide (Secret Values & Stats)
Ranged Weapon
Most of the stats for ranged weapons are pretty straightforward, and if you’ve ever played a game with guns, you’ll probably know what most of them are. However, some values can be a bit tricky to understand, as these stats have hidden stats.
Space Marine 2 also uses the same numbering system to measure each weapon’s ability value. A plus next to a number indicates that the statistic is between two numbers. So a statistic of 2+ is almost the same as 2.5.
fire power
Firepower simply looks at the damage done by the weapon. The higher the firepower, the more damage it does each round. Of course, when looking at damage, it’s important to also look at rate of fire. Weapons with a lower rate of fire generally do more damage, but that doesn’t mean they do more damage per second.
accuracy
The first thing to look at for accuracy is the base bullet spread. Basically, we mean the spread when you are not trying to control the recoil of the gun.. The higher the accuracy, the lower the spread, which means the overall area that the bullet hits is smaller. Highly accurate guns are generally easier to control, and recoil control is a very important skill in games like Space Marine 2.
Rate of fire
Rate of fire indicates how fast a weapon fires. The higher the rate of fire, the more bullets are dispersed per second.. Generally, a higher rate of fire is better, but it may make the gun a bit more difficult to control.
Reload speed
In other words, these statistics are very easy to understand. It’s about seeing how fast the weapon reloads. For reload speed, you always want a higher value because it is objectively better.
piercing
Piercing looks at how powerful the bullets of a weapon are. This should be confused with firepower, as piercing looks at how well the weapon can pass through characters and objects. Weapons like sniper rifles generally have higher piercing than smaller weapons like pistols and submachine guns.
range
With a range, You mainly see how good a weapon is at long range. Higher range means better damage output at longer ranges. As with piercings, weapons like sniper rifles generally have very high range numbers.
Magazine capacity and ammunition reserves
Magazine capacity refers to the number of bullets contained in a magazine, while ammo reserve refers to the total number of bullets a weapon can hold. These two statistics are usually linked together. The larger the magazine capacity, the larger the ammunition reserve in most cases.
Plasma ranged weapon
Most of the stats given to plasma weapons are the same as ranged weapons. There are a few differences between regular weapons and plasma weapons, the biggest of which are: Ventilation.
Plasma weapons have no stats for penetration, reload speed, or ammo reserves.
Emission rate
So the biggest difference between plasma weapons and regular weapons is that plasma weapons don’t have traditional magazines and they fire differently. Plasma weapons can be fired continuously until they heat up, but once heated, you must wait a short while for the weapon to cool down before using it again.
The ventilation rate is exactly what it looks like A higher discharge velocity value means that the weapon takes longer to heat up. Therefore, a weapon with a high discharge velocity value can fire more rounds than a weapon with a low value.
Melee Weapon
Melee weapons in Space Marine 2 work very differently from ranged weapons, and have very different stats attached to them. For melee weapons, you only have to worry about 4 different stats. That said, melee weapon stats are more complex than ranged weapon stats. It can be a little tricky to fully understand.
strength
The Strength stat is pretty straightforward, as it looks at the damage done by the weapon. The higher the Strength rating, the more damage you will do when hitting with the weapon. As with ranged weapons, you’ll need to look at other stats to determine the weapon’s damage output.
speed
This stat shows the speed at which you can attack with your weapon. So the higher the speed, the more attacks you can make.Looking at the rate of fire of a ranged weapon, a higher rate of fire means that it can fire more bullets at a consistent rate.
In this respect the speed is slightly different. Higher speed numbers have a greater effect on overall damage, as speed makes each individual attack faster. This difference is felt primarily during attack combos. The speed stat has a greater effect on long attack combos, as it adds to the time it takes for each attack to come out.
Cutability
An important factor to consider when choosing a melee weapon in this game is its attack range. Cutting potential looks exactly like this, with a higher cutting potential value meaning a wider range for the weapon’s attack.Melee weapons like hammers generally have higher cutting potential than weapons like power fists.
defense
Parrying is a very important mechanic to master in Space Marine 2. As with most games, Parrying in Space Marine 2 allows you to negate damage from enemy attacks and counterattack your enemies. In addition to the standard parry, Space Marine 2 also features a perfect parry. Performing a perfect parry on an enemy will leave them vulnerable, allowing you to use your ranged weapon to land a devastating blow on them.
Each melee weapon in the game has a defense rating, which determines how large your perfect parry window will be. There are three levels of defense in this game.
- Fencing – Perfect parry window increase
- Block – No perfect parry window
- Balanced – Intermediate Perfect Paris Window
Weapon Specialization
Just below the stats of your melee weapon, you will see a yellow and red meter. This meter basically tells you what your weapon specialization is. A yellow or left side of the meter means that the weapon is better suited to killing single enemies, while a red side of the meter means that the weapon is better suited to killing groups of enemies.
Weapon Transformation
Transformations in Space Marine 2 are basically weapon upgrades.Every weapon in the game has different variations, depending on its rarity.
- standard
- Mastercraft
- technician
- relics
The rarities above are sorted in order.Standard is the basic weapon, while Relic is of higher rarity.
Most of the variants in this game are direct upgrades to lower rarity variants. Artifact variants are generally better than Mastercraft variants, and Relic variants are better than Artifact variants. However, The game features special variants that allow you to completely change your weapon.
Special modifications often change some of the weapon’s stats. The image above shows an example of this. The Skilled Marksman Bolt Carbine is a variant that increases some weapon stats, but also decreases some stats.
These modifications can completely change how the weapon functions.. So looking back at the above weapon, these changes to its stats will make the Bolt Carbine stronger at long range, and weaker at short range.
Melee weapons also have special variants, which can also change the weapon’s armor rating.. Some of these variations can even completely change the specialization of a weapon.. So if you have a weapon that specializes in single target damage, that weapon might have a variant that’s better at killing groups of enemies, but worse at killing single targets.
