The Game, whose real name is Jayson Terrell Taylor, recently helped celebrate her son Harlem Karen Taylor’s 21st birthday, and she acknowledged that Harlem is now all grown up!
“Happy 21st birthday to my firstborn @harlemtaylorr!!!!!! Spending half of my life with you has been such an exciting journey. When your mama told me she was pregnant I almost fainted. I didn’t know what to do, how to do it, or where to start,” the “Wanna Get to Know You” rapper captioned a touching Instagram post, which included a photo of her son as a baby.
“I came out of a coma a year ago and went right back to selling drugs… Your grandmother told me that it wouldn’t work on her, that I had to man up if I was going to come in and out of her house and figure out a way to support you and your mother or I wasn’t coming back. I learned how to rap in a matter of months and before you were born… I had $1,000,000 in the bank and I moved you and your mother out of her house and into a condo in the Valley…”
“I was in Compton working on a documentary, and one night I was packing your bags to drop you off at your mom’s house while you were sleeping with me… and as I was walking to my truck, one of the bullets that was coming at me went right through your car seat and we started a shootout. If I had put you in the car first, I would have lost my son that day. At that moment, I realized that living on the block was no longer an option for me, because I loved you more than anything in the world, and from that point on, I was committed to making the best decisions with you in mind.”
The Game ended the post by thanking “Bam” for being an “amazing son” and telling fans more about the origin of the adorable image.
“Thank you for being the best son ever. Thank you for loving my brothers so much. Thank you for showing me the best version of myself and guiding me to be the kindest, purest, most loving person in the world. I always look at you and tell myself… “Yes, I did a great job as a dad.” This picture was taken during the filming of the documentary and you cried 85% of the time lol… but the few pictures I got without crying are some of the best quality and classic pictures of my career so far… and that’s thanks to @jonathanmannion . 21 years… damn. Here we are. What a time to be alive. Tonight we celebrate you. Love you harem… like daddy, like son!!!!! Happy birthday Song. – Dad.”
Harlem is The Game’s firstborn. He shares a newborn, 21, with businesswoman Aleska Jordan. In addition to Harlem, The Game has two other children, Cali Dream (13) and King Justice (17), and shares two children with author Tiffney Cambridge.
Happy birthday, Harlem! Turning 21 is the start of a new chapter in your life. Enjoy it to the fullest!
