I’m unhappy because I missed 100 today – Smriti Mandhana
Smriti Mandhana, who won the best player of the series award, expressed regret at missing out on her century and said she was unhappy. But she was happy with the way her team performed and gave them a good confidence boost ahead of her T20 World Cup, she said. She explained:
“It’s unfortunate to miss a hundred today. You have to keep protecting yourself because those kinds of shots (sweeps) come up sometimes. The bowlers have bowled really well and for us it’s just about doing our best with the bat. We have We have the series on the left, the Asian Cup, and then the World Cup.
“After today, I’ll never be able to bowl again. I’ve been lucky in previous games because I tried my hand at it. It’s always good to add another skill, and it’s the best feeling when you get dropped.”
