Liverpool enjoyed a long-awaited good performance against Tottenham and Alan Shearer couldn’t help but praise one man for our performance.
The 53-year-old said of Harvey Elliott on ‘The Rest Is Football’: “He is a truly talented person. Isn’t that right? He’s great.

“What I like about him now is that he can play midfield. We all knew he could play as a midfielder, but he is not okay because Salah is playing on the right and wants to play with his left foot.
“He can play in a variety of positions and every time he plays he shows me that he is good enough to be at this level. It really is.
“As long as he can maintain some consistency, I think we have another top player on our hands.”

Harvey Elliott has had a superb season and it shows just how well he has played, with his displeasure at not being included in the Premier League’s Young Player of the Year shortlist and a request for a senior England call-up this summer.
Let’s hope the 21-year-old can start from here and prove everyone is right in thinking highly of him.
