Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco isn’t sure how to use artificial intelligence in his industry.
The stand-up comic told Fox News Digital that while he believes live entertainment will always be around, he has taken advantage of new technologies in his personal life.
“I don’t know what impact it’s going to have on stand-up comedy,” Maniscalco said of AI. “I don’t think I’ve seen anything like that in action yet. I’ve never seen an AI say, ‘Oh, wow.’ I know my wife used this product to redesign her kitchen and what it would look like when she remodeled it. “It’s really nice to see.”
“Live entertainment will always be around… but 20 years from now, when I’m talking to you, you might be saying, ‘Wow, I never saw AI coming,’” he said. I’d say, ‘Okay, now I’m unemployed.'”
COMEDIAN SEBASTIAN MANISCALCO explains his ‘IT AIN’T RIGHT’ tour was born out of ‘general hate’.
The 50-year-old said he mainly uses AI to write emails.
He joked, “I often take what I want to say in an email and ask the AI to write the grammar and tense correctly. That’s because the way I write emails is like Rocky.” “So I need Rocky Balboa and I feel like I went to Yale.”
He joked that having an AI write his emails was “a bit pretentious.” Because someone receiving a message from him “might be wondering, ‘Who on earth is this person?'” But what my mindset is, at least you know what I’m talking about.”

The ‘About My Father’ star did not use AI grammar assistance and warned, “If I write it, people might be like, ‘What?'” So, this is how I use AI in my daily life.”

He added that the AI ”translated my words into correct grammar as if I had gone to college.” I received a 4-year degree.
What is artificial intelligence (AI)?
Maniscalco, who kicked off his national (and grammatically incorrect) It Ain’t Right stand-up tour on July 11 in Norfolk, Virginia, graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1995.

“But the way I talk is the way I write,” he said with a laugh. “I put it this way: I often use the expression ‘Would you would of’ and then ‘Would you would of’. That’s not equal. It’s too bad grammatically. But you understand what I’m saying. You will do it.

The comic also told Fox News Digital that he doesn’t “edit” jokes himself when he writes them.

“I’d be lying if I said, ‘Oh, I don’t know. Is it worth making that joke because it might trigger a, b, and c?’ There’s a little bit of that, but I’ve never been across the country to at least see my show. People who come, whether it’s appropriate or inappropriate, feel like they’re dying of laughter. I hate using the word ‘inappropriate’.”
He believes that “there is only a very small portion of the population that tends to bend out of shape in relation to some material, and those people tend to have loud voices.”

“But I would say most people are looking for an outlet to laugh,” he added. “And comedians are more popular than ever because the only real form of entertainment going on right now is real, unedited stuff.”
