Shawn “Diddy,” “P. Diddy,” “Puff Daddy” and “Love” Combs were finally arrested yesterday, months after their Los Angeles home was raided by Homeland Security agents investigating sex trafficking, racketeering and numerous other criminal charges related to the music mogul’s alleged “bizarre crimes.”
Today, Combs appeared before a New York judge for his arraignment, and things didn’t look good for him. According to Deadline, after Diddy’s attorney offered to set bail at $50 million, Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky looked at him as expressionlessly as she did the contestant. More forr denied bail, stating that he was a threat to public safety and witnesses. As a result, Mr. “Take That” will remain in federal custody until his trial begins.
Combs also learned that if he were convicted of all charges against him, he would likely spend the rest of his life as a bad guy… in prison.
Diddy’s attorney has filed a bail appeal, and that hearing is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, NBCNews reports. However, the aforementioned Deadline article notes that it is unlikely the district court will overturn Judge Tarnofsky’s ruling.
Didi’s sons, Christian Combs and Quincy Brown, are pictured leaving the courthouse after today’s hearing.
Prosecutors also said a baggie containing a pink powder was found in Combs’ New York hotel room, similar to baggies containing drugs HSI found during an earlier raid on his property.
Sean Combs is in trouble, and with 50 witnesses and videotapes in the hands of the feds, it will be extremely difficult for him to win this case. BOSSIP will provide more information as it becomes available.
