“It’s an absolute honor and privilege to be able to lead this amazing team to where we want to go,” said Aldcroft, who will join Packer and Megan Jones as vice-captains.
“A big part of being a captain is leading by example. When I speak, I mean what I say and I like to think about what I say.
“But it’s also about bringing everyone else around me together and making sure everyone can be successful in everything they’re doing.”
The Red Roses are looking to win a fourth successive Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam in March and April before hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup in August and September.
