BAD LIGHT ended the match early on day 3 at Lord’s as England headed for a complete victory over Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test. Play was not resumed after the umpire dismissed the players at 5.05pm with Sri Lanka leading 53-2 and needing an incredible 430 runs to win.
Under the Lord’s lights, England removed both of Sri Lanka’s openers before the game was curtailed and with two days remaining, they will be confident they can secure a fifth successive Test win over the summer.
