Roma have identified Alexander Sorlos as their new transfer target as the summer transfer window opens.
A capital club are believed to be interested in Villarreal’s Norwegian striker.
According to a Spanish news portal: ReliefRoma have made the first bid for Sorlos, currently the Giallorossi’s main attacking target.
However, the offer was immediately rejected by Villarreal, who were demanding €35 million for the player who scored 26 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last season.
What is certain, though, is that Villarreal will need to sell him in the summer to pay off their remaining balance and one asset the Spanish side will have to consider offloading is the centre-forward.
According to the news portal, Rome is already evaluating ways to improve the proposal.
Negotiations are ongoing and are expected to continue.
