Isabella Fiorello is a junior group leader and principal researcher in the Biomimetic Plant Hybrid Materials group at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She received a Master’s degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Turin, Italy, and a PhD in Biorobotics from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy. Her research focuses on the development of biologically inspired microengineered biomaterials that can precisely interact with complex, unstructured surfaces for applications in precision agriculture, smart textiles, space, and soft robotics. .
