MONTREAL/BERLIN, Sept. 18, 2024 – Vention, the developer of a cloud-based Manufacturing Automation Platform (MAP), will present a new AI application at its Demo Day in Berlin today: MachineMotion AI, the first AI-enabled automation controller powered by NVIDIA accelerated computing technology.
At the heart of Vention’s hardware and software ecosystem, MachineMotion AI bridges the gap between traditional programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and modern robotics programming environments. The third-generation controller is designed to dramatically simplify the design and deployment of robotics applications for manufacturing companies of all sizes.
MachineMotion AI is built on the NVIDIA Jetson platform for edge AI and robotics. The controller further develops AI-enabled robotics with NVIDIA GPU-accelerated path planning and provides the ability to run trained 2D/3D perception models in synthetic and physical environments.
MachineMotion AI is compatible with leading robot brands (e.g. Universal Robots, FANUC, and ABB) and plugs and plays with hundreds of motion devices and sensors, from conveyors and actuators to security devices, computer vision systems, telepresence cameras, and more.
“We are on a journey to democratize industrial automation by building the most comprehensive industrial automation and robotics company,” said Etienne Lacroix, Vention Founder and CEO. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the advanced capabilities industry professionals need, while solidifying Vention’s position as the most intuitive platform for automation and robotics.”
