MONTREAL/BERLIN, June 2024 – Vention, a company that supports cloud-based manufacturing automation platforms (MAPs), announced a collaboration with NVIDIA. The goal is to make industrial automation technologies accessible to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). NVIDIA’s AI technology and accelerated computing will be used to advance cloud robotics.
This announcement marks the beginning of a year of joint efforts to simplify the realization of industrial automation and robotics projects from design through operation using artificial intelligence (AI).
The Vention platform is AI-enabled and is based on a proprietary dataset of hundreds of thousands of robotic cell designs created since the company’s founding in 2016. Vention plans to leverage this unique potential to simplify the user experience for cloud and edge computing. The collaboration with NVIDIA focuses on using AI to create digital twins much faster and more efficiently so that enterprises can test their projects before investing. Areas of development include generative design for robotic cells, copilot programming, physics-based simulation, and autonomous robotics.
The goal of this collaboration with NVIDIA, combined with Vention’s modular hardware and plug-and-play motion control technology, is to bring cutting-edge AI to manufacturing and make industrial automation technology more accessible to small and medium-sized businesses. Already well-known for its user-friendly software products and interfaces, Vention aims to continue to provide solutions that enable small and medium-sized businesses to implement automation faster and more efficiently.
A series of new Vention products resulting from this collaboration are expected to be announced in Q3 2024.
