Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He plans to address the nation this Friday about his future plans for the presidential election.
Kennedy’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Speier, posted an announcement on social media Wednesday afternoon about “this moment in history and his future direction.”
The announcement comes after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, criticized Democrats on Tuesday, saying she “fully supports” Kennedy’s role in a future Trump administration. Shanahan also suggested they might end the campaign and endorse former President Trump.

Just before the announcement, Kennedy’s daughter-in-law and campaign manager, Amaryllis Kennedy, sent an email to campaign staff.

“For the past 19 months (the original core was 22 months), this team, this family, has worked 10+ hours a day, seven days a week, through blizzards and sweltering heat, sacrificing family time, personal commitments, and hopes for sleep to deliver our shared vision for this country,” she wrote. “Throughout all these months, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has never shied away from getting his mind out there through a secret leak. And at this moment, which matters most to all of us, he will never shirk. So hold on tight until you hear from him directly.”
